Friendly and informative staff. Excellent collections of pioneer family items and furniture. Excellent collection of Native American artifacts - some thousands of years old. Incredible images and information of the founders of this area.

Preserving the history of small towns is always a challenge with limited resources. This museum is one of the finest collections of artifacts --photos, furniture, weapons, clothing, government records, etc. that I have seen in a country historical museum. You certainly leave with a greater understanding of the people and reasons for the establishment of Harney County and its later development.
