whale cave

This is very famous and unique tourist spot at Xiaomen Village in Xiyu Township. When I was a child I have visited here many times, it changed a lot, that was more nature before actually. However, you come here not only can walk through the path even the cave, but also can enjoy the local yummy taste of squid vermicelli nearby Whale Cave.Probably you have been Australia for seeing Great Ocean Road in Victoria State, I feel the shape of Whale Cave is similar to The London Bridge, but I prefer recommend people to visit Whale Cave!

The way I remember the Whale Cave...There's a parking lot at the bottom of the hill, pretty much at the harbor. You'll walk up a path, passing by a bunch of restaurants serving almost the same special dish and then find the geology museum (free). See all the pretty rocks and try to decipher whatever you can't read. Walk over to the observatory to take in a new and refreshing view before making your way to the Whale Cave.The cave? A nice and LONG stroll (a little too long for us). Good for people that like to walk. =)

It took us a while to work out why this was called "Whale Cave" .... don't stand straight on ... stand to the left and you realise that the naturally eroded hole is the eye. Whilst there you can also enjoy some lovely cliff walks. Be especially careful of ogue waves and very high winds which are extremely dangerous
