My wife and I visited Red Apple Farm for the first time today. The store and grounds were very crowded, mostly with families with young children. Toddlers seemed to really enjoy the farm animals in a fenced-in area near the parking lot.The decor throughout the store is very nice, almost like walking through a museum, with all of the country store artifacts. The merchandise displays are really well done. On the other hand, everything was somewhat overpriced, and I was very disappointed when I asked to see the ingredients for their apple pies. It was a paragraph long and full of all kinds of nasty ingredients that you would not expect to be included in a pie sold in a farm store. The ingredients are NOT shown on the label, and I am sure that most people would be shocked if they knew some of the ingredients that are included. Never presume that a product is all natural just because you are buying it at a farm!We also thought that it was a bit excessive that they were charging for their tractor-pulled wagon rides. According to their website, the fee is $3.75 for anybody over the age of 3. I am certain that the farm would realize far greater profits in the long run by providing those rides at no charge, capitalizing upon a narration that introduced riders to the different varieties of apples and mentioned items available for sale in the store. It has been a long time since we were the parents of young children, but we remember quite well how finances can be limited. Money spent on a wagon ride is money that cannot be spent in the store.

Took a trip to Royalston to see the falls and stumbled upon this gem on our way home. Great orchards with lots of low hanging fruit for our 4-year old. They have a little farm too. $3 for a keepsake tin to fill with animal feed; she got a kick out of the goats eating out of her hands. Stop in the farm store for apple cider donuts; make sure to ask for fresh ones...they're still hot! Great place for families seeking the quintessential apple picking experience.

Whether picking apples, eating their yummy pie or cross-country skiing, it is a great place. Apple cider is just the best.

We love this place! It's huge! They have everything imaginable. Kids loved the animals and picking apples. We go back every year.

We had been to Red Apple Farm for apple picking several years ago and decided to meet friends here for the Harvest Festival. We went on Sunday of the two-day festival and despite the 18 degree weather, we had a great time. We bought fresh, local veggies, ate some delicious chowder, warmed ourselves by the fireplace, and listened to some fun music. Vendors were plentiful, folks were friendly, and we brought home all kinds of goodies for our Thanksgiving table.

Took our first trip here last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The farm is huge, the orchard was easy to navigate and they offered hayrides in and out if you did not want to walk. Coolest thing was the little carts they gave us to pull around our apples in. No more lugging the bag around waiting for it to break. The store was packed and had all kinds of goodies. They also have a big outdoor kitchen with really great

They have a huge variety of apples and a very large picking area. Could be more well-organized to send people in the right direction! Peaches and blueberries were very good as well. The home-made jellies are great.

A fun stop on our tour around the Quabbin Reservoir. We picked up delicious apple cider donuts, apple dumplings, yummy-looking jarred pickles and preserves, and other farm stand staples. Very country, with lots of odds & ends to decorate a country-flavored house too. Pick-your-own blueberries was ripe and ready, with apples almost ready to take center stage. Pretty soon, this cute, tucked-away place will be hopping!

The company does not provide quality customer service. I have seen young teenage kids wearing short shorts, a wifebeater tanktop with the company logo, that have no idea where to send people for blueberries, or any other type of picking up there. The employees are more concerned with their cell phone's than waiting on a customer. Also as a customer I witnessed employees drinking alcoholic beverages while in the field as I picked. It was dispicable and disgusting, not to mention a horrible experience for my friends and family. Will never go back there with anyone I personally know!!!!!!

If you are going to pick apples in the fall, this IS the place to go. A traditional old school apple farm with a quaint New England feel. Hay rides, farm animals, snacks and goodies and every type of apple imaginable and apple products. Booming business without the big business feel. Apples are comparatively priced with store prices.

Looking for that "great" day trip during the falls season? How about picking apples and pumkins. Eating a hot smoked turkey leg right out of the smoker. Looking for that hay ride or fresh cider donuts. What about apple pie? Kids want to play with the rabbits or feed the goats. What a perfect place to spend the day. The folks at Red Apple Farm will treat you right.
