We visited the one in Breckenridge. We were told to go to it at night because of the lights. The lights were cool and the kids liked it but for the price it was literally a short walk through ice. There are no sculptures or anything really special to look at. Some people mentioned here that there were slides and tunnels but none were available at night. It was a little difficult to find at night but if you look it up in advance you can easily follow the street signs.

We bought a Groupon to see the Ice Castles (which are now in Break and not Silverthorne). We went during the day and were there for an hour and a half. The kids loved the slides and caves to explore. There was much more to it than it looked from outside. We were very glad that we went back at night as well (you get a stamp that allows you to go back any time during that day). The lights were great but it was VERY busy in the evening. It was much better when we weren't too crowded earlier in the day. We would go back another year- but having the Groupon made it much more cost effective.

Was able to visit using a Groupon. Ice Castle moved from Silverthorne to Beck this year. Very beautiful especially at night. Nothing like you have seen before. Nice artistry. More enjoyable if you read about it before you get there. Lots of pretty photos. Don't be deceived by wall around castle, it's to prevent free peeks.

The Ice Castles do exist, they are now in Breckenridge, CO a beautiful sight to behold, right off the river walkway and close to the Dredge. Nice walk also walk a little further and you will see the makings of the Ice sculptures all week, enjoy the beauty of winter!!

First thing to know, it is now in Breckenridge! Most important thing to know, it is very cool! Cost is very reasonable ($10/adult) and lasts for hours. I would recommend you go during the day to get good pictures and again at night to see it lit up. Will go again next year for sure!

The work and dedication put into the formation of the castles was breathtaking! To walk through and be able to sit in ice "caves" was amazing! Seeing all of the colors the LED lights displayed throughout the ice clearly attracted many visitors from all over. I highly enjoyed this attraction and would recommend it to any one; individual and families!

Ice Catles will be built in Breckenridge, Colorado during the 2013-2014 winter season. A very popular attraction, especially for children and young families. Go after dark when it's lighted. Very dramatic.

The ice castle was only open one winter. Don't expect it to be back. It was fun while it was here but the location was too warm and sunny.

They used city water to make shapes with spray tubes. Come spring, the “castle” wiped out the lawn. They had to replace all the grass. The ice castle people were going to try Breckenridge the next year and the approvers wisely decided the castle may damage the parking lot.

Don't waste your time. We drove all over looking for them, based on a Groupon I had purchased, only to finally found out they did not make them this season!

We drove 3 hours from aurora to see the ice castles. I must say i was very dissapointed. Very nice if you live nearby but it was definitely not worth such a long drive. The castles look so large in pictures but are relatively small in stature. They were nice just not worth what they charge and not worth the long drive.

Great place to see what water and cold and ice can do, Very creative making of ice castles for the kids and adults. Great addition to Silverthorne.

I went up to see this from Denver in mid March. We've had an extremely warm winter here in Colorado and I doubted there could be much left of the castles. Au Contrere, it was still lovely. Worth the drive, and Silverthorne is gorgeous in March.
