Beautiful walk through history. My husband, daughter, and I enjoyed a nice walk about the property and enjoying the gorgeous scenes and history all around.

Church is nice and worth seeing. What fascinated me, though, was the crowded, very old, very artful cemetery--the oldest stone I saw there was from 1765--before the official birth of the US! I had a great time reading the old stones there--such a slice of history.

The surrounding yard is a cemetery with unusual gravestones and markers. Inside the church is somewhat stark. The pews have doors in the old style. All in all quite charming.

The graveyard of this church dates back to the 1600's and the inside of the church has the priests buried in the floors.

Although a re-build in the 1980's Immanuel reminded us of some of the old churches we've visited/attended in Ireland, the UK and Guernsey. Definitely conveys a sense of history and spirituality.

Located In the corner of the historical common land in old New Castle. Very plain on the inside cruciform church. Very good recent restoration. Go to a service here, good acoustics and a very good worshiping experience. Spend a good part of your time in the graveyard. Many Delaware Revolutionary soldiers are there along with other famous folks.

20 or so years ago it's cedar roof caught fire and it looked as those a piece of history would be lost forever. It was rebuilt and you can still see some of the fires scars, but to step inside you will appreciate history first hand. Many of our founding fathers frequented this area. The attached cemetery is a jewel in it's own right. Look at the grave sites and you may find a name or two that you heard of in history class. A beautiful church on beautiful grounds. They still have worship there today

This stately church is over 300 years old. It sits at one end of the lovely Green in New Castle. It is beautiful inside and has a burial ground surrounding the church--one of the tombstones is that of George Read, signer of the Declaration of Independence from Delaware. There is easy free street parking around the church
