Pretty decent mall. Typical stores but the price points are a little high because you are in Edina.nothing too special.

I was impressed with the quality of stores here in Edina! The anchor stores of Macy's,JCP,and Herberger's are pretty good anchors. Quite a nice variety of stores and some relly good restaurants await.

Large mall - variety of stores, easy to get around.Loved Herbergers - Apple store very helpful.Cheesecake Factory lovely for glass of wine and basket of bread to give the feet a break..

Good variety of shops and very clean. We spent an afternoon shopping here and enjoyed ourselves. The only bad part of this place is in a Minnesota summer you would rather be outside.

We go here often and for a muni pool this is a very nice facility to keep cool in the summer and do water activities. Great for kids from 3-99 and the yearly passes are reasonable if you live in the area. If not, they offer 1 day passes for $10 and after 6 pm it drops to $8. There is a nice play ground if you get tired of the water.

Its lost its 80's-90's look and feel of that time period which I personally liked after the renovation it went through. now its just another boring modern looking mall with no style and just bla like so many other doppelgangers like it. but if you go to the 3rd level even though its vacant at night as u walk the nostalgia of the old mall will comes back as its till untouched.

I had never spent time at a public pool really, I had no idea what to expect. I was picturing a big lap pool with a diving board. You get so much more! There are slides, a surfing pool, zip line. It is a little pricy, $10 for the regular admission. But it was a nice change of pace. Lots of seating, not too busy, even the adults were entertained for a couple of hours.

O regularly visit southdale with its numerous stores and restaurants. Herbergers and Macy's are favorites plus the several good restaurants. A few vacancies detract from southdale but it has been a favorite for years

This mall offers a great respite from many of the over populated malls in the cities- particularly Mall of America. There's a good selection of stores, it's clean, and easy to navigate. The Galleria next door also offers more high end stores than anything at MOA. While it can't compare to the sheer variety at MOA, it's a much easier, more relaxing shopping experience.

Ridgedale was once the height of shopping in MN now the crown goes to MOA. Southdale has managed to keep itself relevent by keeping itself more of a highend shopping center. It has gone thru many changes over the years; I can remember coming here 20 plus years ago, but it still has the charm and the great variety of stores to shop up a huge tab.

I love Southdale so much, I've been going there since I was a little baby. Now, the place has a bunch of restaurants and shops, it's impossible not to find what you're looking for, plus a few other small stores.

In 1965 Southdale Center was a big deal. No longer. Any vestige of the past has been stripped out. Today, Southdale looks like any other Corporate Shopping Mall in America.Truly Sad to see what "the young, pretty know it alls" have done to drive this shopping experience into mediocrity.

Southdale shopping mall in Edina, MN was the first covered shopping mall in the United States. While there had been some upgrading through the years the recent remodeling has brought a new sense of upscale polish to this mall which was becoming a bit down at the heels. New stores going in are of the higher end. There are several good restaurants and a large theater. Ample parking on both levels. The new Apple store alone is worth the trip.

This place has changed so many times since it first opened in about 1956! The first covered shopping mall in the country. At one time it had Woolworth's, Parakeets in these cages you could feed, and even a moat in the courtyard to throw coins in. Most of that is gone now in a bygone era! It now has double deck parking and quite a selection of restaurants. Located on France Avenue between 66th, 70th, and just 2 blocks south of the MN 62 Crosstown Highway, or about 7 blocks north of I-494 on France Avenue!
