This beautiful park is the perfect place to take your children to see farm animals up close and to explore nature. They have a complete working farm with horses, sheep, ducks, a donkey, goats, etc. There's also a series of trails in and around a stream, wetlands, and meadows. The grounds are spotless. My kids found this far more enjoyable than the UCONN farm.

Small working farm, with animals (horses, bunnies, pigs, chickens, ducks). It is great for kids. We celebrated my kids' birthdays there, and it is a great place to do it. Safe, convenient, interactive, with lots of programs for kids throughout the year.

That pretty well sums it up --- except for all the farm animals in the barn & field that captivate the attention of school children.Lovely paths through fields and woods to trod. Just a delightful, relaxing setting.

Westmore Park is a small working farm, complete with farm animals and small gardens (flower and vegetable). There are also walking paths thru the woods that includes wooded areas, fields, wildflowers and wetland areas. The wooded trails can be muddy after a rain, so they're best walked following dry weather. The animal farm has chickens, ducks, llamas, cows, etc. It's an excellent resource to "get away" without actually "getting away"!

My wife and I had the fun experience of babysitting our grand-daughter for a week. Elizabeth park was a great destination - to see the bunnies, the horse, the donkey, the chickens. It was a hit for 3 days in a row. And then - it is a short trip to Abby Dabby for ice cream.For adults it is fun to see the gardens and the attention to the environment.Also lots of educational activities life hay rides and classes for the kids.

Great for the kids as well for Adults. Kids will love the farm animals and the great space just to run around. Just sitting with a coffee and watching the animals in the pasture . Great place to to visit

This is a well-run farm and garden experience for young and old. Beautiful surroundings, caring volunteers and staff, and friendly farm animals including resident barnyard cats. Animals include geese and ducks, rabbits, horses, llamas and a donkey, sheep and goats, chickens, and a cow. Clean well-maintained barns and fields, and floral gardens on one side of the property. Easily accessible off Mountain Rd. in West Hartford, as well as the Bishop's Corner mall area. Summer programs available for children, as well as year round educational opportunities. One thing to keep in mind- as much as we would like to, it's best not to feed the animals!
