Although not a big museum it fits the town and has the right connections to the history of the blues. Good video on Muddy Waters and lots of little information on many artists. I particularly Inked the piece on Robert Johson as well as Ike Turner with his recording of rocket 88 which is credited as being the first rock and roll song which originated from his blues history. Small gift shop with great t-shirts and lots of CD's of all the great blues artists that you may not find at most stores.

Great little museum, very informative with a lot of great exhibitions and movies to watch. The new Muddy Waters room looks amazing. They have spent a lot of time and money in this museum to do the Delta blues justice and deserve your visit when around. Very friendly staff who are very knowledgeable about the place and can explain the history of the museum. Small gift shop attached for your souvenirs.

A 'good' museum and gift shop - not over the top however definitely worth taking the time to see the legends of Blues photos and more current artists too.

This is an excellent facility with some great artifacts (like Muddy Waters' cabin) - but it needs a bit more investment.The displays are informative but a bit random. There's no organizing theme. For example, it could show more about the life these early blues artists lived when not performing. And what about the impact of Alan Lomax?

This is a must see place in Clarksdale!!! The museum has a school for the blues and is constantly adding new stuff.

They are expanding the museum and will be twice the size. A little awkward to move in a historical sequence, but okay.

Interesting stories but could be further developed. Would have been nice if you could listen to music from the persons they are presenting.

A smart and modern wee museum in a converted railway warehouse that's packed full info and exhibits from the legends of the blues, including costumes and guitars.I loved the muddy waters section with his cypress wood cabin and i loved his quote about it being import at to him for being more of a gentleman than a musician - it made me smile.Well worth a visit if you're in town for the juke joints - a must for blues fans

A smart single storey building, converted from the railroad station, with a fantastic shop. The exhibitions are fascinating and detailed, featuring instruments, stage outfits, photographs - you name it. They've got Muddy Waters' cabin!I learnt a lot (like most Brits my age, I think I know all there is to know about the blues), including musicians like Razorblade, whom I met outside Ground Zero later that same day!Do go - this place is great and needs your generous support.

Delta Blues Museum is wonderful visit. It showcases the history of blues music, with a special exhibit to Muddy Waters. Make sure you check out the photos along the walls as they are rare photos of blues artists and well worth a look. Also, check out Super Chikan's guitar that he made himself.

My wife and I loved everything about it. Very moving. We'll be back. The exhibits about Son House and Muddy Waters are particularly affecting. A great place.

This museum didn't really do what it said on the tin. It was a random series of brief biographies and photos of bluesmen who often had no connection to the area. I was hoping to learn something in depth about Delta Blues - I didn't need the overview this provided. The few artefacts were poorly labelled - there were a number of guitars in cases but no explanation as to what they were or who they belonged to. A missed opportunity, particularly as this museum is apparently subsidised.

Small but with lots of interesting information. Largest exhibits are Muddy Waters and Charlie Musselwhite, but there are many, many smaller exhibits.
