Limited hours and days depending on the time off year. Summer is wed-sat noon-6 for example and currently, they are only open to public Memorial day through Labor Day. So, do yourself a favor and check to ensure they are open before you head out. This is a small site and self guided tour. However, they will provide tackle and bait for you to. .um.. fish. Good idea for beginners and kids interested in trying fishing. You pay for the fish by the inch and keep it. This is like what a deli is to a restaurant. Same principle but on smaller and intimate scale. Great for families with younger kids.If you want to see a large operation, like 10-15 times the size of this that releases all around the great lakes, the US Fish and Wildlife location is about 40 min from this one or 15 min west off Gaylord (Jordan River Hatchery).

Took a family with 4 little children and my family with a 6 month old. EVERYONE had a good time. Even the 6 month old like watching the fish splash around. Great family time.

A nice find. Historic spot! Worth the cost to feed the fish. Bring something to wash your hands with tho, the fish food is STINKY!!! Good for all ages.

We packed up four kids and four adults to go to the fish hatchery and we were bummed to drive there only to find it closed! They don't open until noon! We arrived at 11 am. Kids were really disappointed.

If you want to see fish up close this is the place to be. I'm not sure teens would enjoy if but younger children (as shown in the photo) would really have a good time.

The kids will love seeing so many fish in one place. They can fish and get help catching their dinner. A little pricey on the fish but a good experience.

I've been here before, and wanted to show my nephews on our way upnorth. Even though they are a little older now, and it does seem to be fun for the toddlers and kids. There are a few cement "lakes" that hold the fish, and you can purchase baggies of fish food, and you toss it in, and they go crazy! You can also fish for your own fish, I think you have to have your own rod though. If you catch something, you can take it home, it's priced by the inch I think. But it's fun just to stop and get some food to toss in and watch the fish all try to grab for it.

We did not know what this pace was and stopped. We were glad we did. If you want to learn about fish spawning, their different stages of life, and see a well maintained and clean facility- this is the place. it is great for the whole family of all ages from very young to grand dad!

Fun for the kids. Interesting and educational. Cheap afternoon feeding the fish and seeing them at different stages development.

Enjoyed feeding the fish, the toddler loved it. Be warned, though - it's pretty basic and you'll be right out in the blazing hot sun the whole time.

The place is neat and well organized. The local boys and girls will help you catch some trout that jump out of the water to hook themselves. Fishing here is definitely not boring. They gut your catch for free. Fish caught cost 50 cents an inch. Cleaning is optional. All the kids had big smiles.

This was more of a place DH wanted to see, and we have stopped here many times now over the years..lol. I indulge him and do my oohing and ahhing a few times, over the size of "those" fish! Pleasant way to spend 30 minutes or so. Lots of different "raceways", containing different species of MI fish, in various stages of their life. Garden area with paths. Picnic tables. Fish cleaning station. Fishing pond. Tiny gift shop. $2.50 per adult. They seem to have a lot of plans in the making to improve and build upon, but this has been going on a long time and I have yet to see any improvements. Open during the summer only, I believe. There is a large, gravel parking, so lots of room if you are pulling a trailer, etc. Pop machines, trash cans.
