这儿是个很棒的小型博物馆。来着里进行一次鲸鱼巡航之旅,或来赏鲸公园,可以你可以学到许多关于这种奇妙生物的知识,并且更好的享受你的鲸鱼观赏之旅。

如果你把车停在阿纳科特斯,步行走到渡船上的话,理论上讲你可以步行从陆地上走到这所博物馆。这里距离轮渡码头星期五海港有几个街区的距离,但都是在坡上!这所博物馆刚刚经过重建,里面有新的展品,已经做好准备迎接夏天的游客。从建好之后我还没去过这里,但是我从志愿者那里听说过关于这里的消息。在重建之前就已经很棒了,重建之后将会更加完美!很喜欢星期五海港那边的一些餐馆,在博物馆里还学了一些关于逆戟鲸的知识。你甚至可以从礼品店“收养”一个鲸鱼,里面包含你想要的一切如周边的海洋还有住在海洋的其它生物!我去年去了那所博物馆一次,现在等不及要再去看看那里有什么改变没有。

那天下雨,因此,我们停下来走进博物馆。我们6岁和9岁的孩子理解不了。那有个很酷的鲸骷髅,我6岁的儿子喜欢。但是我九岁的女儿喜欢图形照片和航海标识及我们对海洋生物做的非常可怕的事(鱼叉,用渔网捕鱼等),虽然我理解,但是看到还是有点震撼,作为大人,我和我丈夫喜欢各种有趣的资讯和视频,现在我明白了鼠海豚和海豚之间的差别。但是孩子们匆匆看了一眼,很快就看完了。他们路边的玩具店呆了很久,免费参观。

博物馆虽小,但五脏俱全。展示的文物都很有意思,旁边还配有对文物的丰富介绍。大部分文物都是当地的虎鲸荚 -这些文物讲述了一些个别的鲸鱼的发展史。

每年儿子生日我们都来这里。孩子们非常喜欢看鲸鱼枯骨和听鲸鱼叫声(尤其是在电话亭里)。我喜欢阅读材料和看录像带,学到了非常多当地海洋生物的知识。今年我们花了两个小时逛这座博物馆,感觉时间过得飞快。我们一家四人门票只花了100元,这点非常棒,因为我们轮渡船票已经花了不少钱了。

We have been here more than three times over the years and always discover something new. Love the updates on the individual killer whale pods, the audio recordings of different sea life, feeling humbled when you stand beneath the whale skeleton. They have a children's room, a few historical movies always playing, a gift shop of course. They also have occasional free days though admission is reasonable. Knowledgeable volunteers. Must do when in FH.

I loved this museum, it was very informative and had a great shop, I learned a lot about whales and the other marine life in the area.

It's just a few bucks to get in, and a nice informative stop while in Friday Harbor, especially in conjunction with a whale boat tour.

This was a great stop; it's definitely worth the 3 or 4 dollars you pay for admission. You can see a complete orca whale skeleton, a dolphin and seal fetus, and a bunch of other cool things. Good way to spend an hour or two...

Imagine an old large home, painted like the underwater of Puget Sound with Orca sounds looping through your tour. Lots of whale bones and other exhibits. Odd, interesting, and at $6, it won't dent your wallet. The gift shop is fun.

Friendly curators and interesting exhibits! We enjoyed learning about the pods and individual whale that frequent the local waters.

Very interesting museum dedicated to the whales... but what else on this island would you really dedicate a museum for??? The Pig War... I found this place to be old smelling but I read many interesting things and enjoyed listening to the lady talk to the school that came in... Make sure you don't go on a school day... Slightly ruins the atmosphere... I am in no way saying that kids shouldn't be in a museum... Just not that many at once... Definitely find time to sit down and watch the movies.

The museum was recommended to us and my husband and I enjoyed looking around. There were some interesting exhibits, lots of information and a short informative video. I think I would have been more impressed if I didn't have other better museums to compare it to. Worth a visit if you have time between ferry sailings.

Excellent whale education at this museum. very comfortable too. Affordable and a must see for the San Juan Island experience.

Lots of interesting facts. Cute little house it is settled in. Love all the artifacts. It was nice to see info on current species around the area. We learned about all kinds of different animals.
