My 18 yr old son took David's one-hour "Learn to Drive a Model T" lesson and will remember this experience for the rest of his life! David came to our hotel and picked us up and not only gave a driving lesson, but a history lesson as well. After a short lesson, my son was driving the car by himself in his glory. This was an unplanned and unexpected tour and wound up being one of the highlights of our trip! This was fabulous way to be up close to the giant sequoias in the open air convertible. . Thank you David for a genuine and first-class experience!

We rented a Model A for the day to tour Yosemite Valley. David, our host, was welcoming and gracious. He gave us a brief intro to the car and its history, topped off the gas, and we were on our way. About half-way through the day, the car suffered a mechanical failure, so we waited for David to arrive with a replacement car. Between the two of us, we got the first car running, swapped our gear to the second, and continued on. The day ran longer than we expected, so we were making our way back in the dark. Traffic was heavy along with road construction in the park, so we were delayed (and no cell service to let David know). We were waiting in a line of cars when who should appear from the other direction but David! He'd come to check on us, and we followed him back to the Inn (especially appreciated, because the A does not have strong headlights). There, he welcomed us with hot tea, and good conversation after a long, but fun, day. My only regret is there wasn't enough time to try the Model T. Maybe another day... People in the park really responded to the car. Be prepared for a LOT of conversations. We had some great chats with folks who just wanted to reminisce, and we were the subjects of many pictures. With the car's top down, this is a great, engaging way to see the Park. This was a completely unique experience! If you've ever wondered what it was like to drive a vintage car, I can't recommend this highly enough. Is the car cramped and noisy? Yes. Cold after sundown? Yes. Is it fun? Yes! Try it, you won't regret it, and you'll appreciate your car all the more, as well as gain respect for those intrepid early motorists.(If you expect a chilly day, be sure to bring something for your ears and hands, as well as clothes you can layer.)

We had no idea what riding in a model T would be like. My husband and two girls jumped at the chance to go. David gave a quick lesson and we were on our way to have the best time on our trip. We laughed so hard our cheeks hurt for hours afterwards. Everyone who see you waves like your some celebrity and being out in the fresh air is delightful. I recommend this to everyone, kids love it too.

If you have no soul don't do this, spend your money on T shirts, fluffy toys, exfoliation and other surplusage. If you are from the US don't ignore the opportunity to drive your auto history and plow your $ back into a local enterprise of the most excellent type.If you simply want a great day out combining the opportunity to drive a piece of auto history in one of the most spectacular places in the world then simply do it, pawn your children if you have to and do it, you will remember the experience till the day you die. Remember to rug/layer up and take some driving gloves if you set off early since you will need them but as the day moves on you will probably be able to lose layers.Be prepared to be asked about the car and photographed. Finally, yes it costs a bit but you are supporting the maintenance/dissemination of a unique piece of automotive history in a unique location and it is worth every penny

Have to experience this! Free ride with every stay or rent it for the whole day.

My boyfriend and I went back and forth on whether or not to do this, because of the price (we are young professionals on a budget), but ultimately decided to treat ourselves. It was totally worth it. Everything about it was absolutely perfect - from the charming couple who run the Tin Lizzie Inn and rent out the Model Ts (and Model As) to the Inn itself, and, of course, the vehicles. We didn't stay at the Tin Lizzie Inn, but after touring it we really wished we had. We had an unforgettable day learning to drive a Model A, touring Yosemite and Fish Camp from a totally unique perspective and overall sharing an experience that will always stand apart in our memories. Learning to drive the car was challenging, but fun - the owner was incredibly patient and helpful and allowed us to take the extra time we desperately needed. We received a ton of well-deserved attention while driving around and took some great pictures. Bring a camera and prepare to spend the whole day (even if you only buy a 1/2 day - the inn is charming, the couple is charming... take your time!) It's a one-of-a-kind experience you won't regret splurging on.Honestly, I can't say it enough: Totally worth it.

My husband and I invited another couple to join us on an adventure in Yosemite. We live nearby and visit the park often, but what made this day special was the 1931 Model A car we had from Model T tours. Having this historic car to tour around was an amazing experience. We had our photo taken by so many people, and while driving around, people would wave at us and honk their horns in appreciation of the beautiful machine we were in. I sat in the rumble seat and was suprised at the comfort, even though it was a bit difficult to get into at first. There was plenty of room behind the rumble seat for our picnic basket and ice chest. When we picked up the car, we were given a tour of the beautiful Tin Lizzie Inn, where the cars are kept. If I didn't live so close, that would definately be a place to stay. So, if you want a unique experience while visiting Yosemite, I HIGHLY reccommend Model T tours.
