Looking for fun ~ try ATV tour with Intermountain guide service. We did the 2 hour tour and had a blast. They will provide the gear that you need to wear out there and will point out all local points of interest. They also have a shuttle from the hotels to help with the transporting.

We flew into Wendover for a three night visit to the West Wendover, Nevada side but didn't want to spend all our time in the casinos. Bryan offers excellent and informative tours of the nearby significant attractions. We toured with him into the mountains where we saw the famous wild mustangs; to the Bonneville salt flats which he drove right on to so we could experience them first hand; and to the airport museum where he is able to drive out onto the old runway and into one of the most famous old hangars. Bryan shares his vast and varied knowledge of such diverse topics as the World War II history of the area, the speed records on the salt flats, and the geology and anthropology in an interesting and understandable way. He was always very prompt picking us up at our hotel, had reliable and clean equipment, and accommodated our somewhat physically challenged group members with courtesy and gentleness. If you are in the area DO NOT MISS taking at least one tour with this company. The three that we enjoyed lasted from 1-1/2 to 2 hours in length and were a great way to learn that there is more to the area than slot machines and buffets. Call ahead to make reservations or call when you're in town but be sure to take a tour with Intermountain Guide Service!

We love going to West Wendover. We do it at least twice a year. We have done two tours w Bryan and Clinton and we had a blast. Once in December while snowing and once in May. Both beautiful amazing fun!! Would do it again. Would like to do the other tours like Fly Fishing or Horse Back Riding.

The trip[ was well worth it. Great view from the mountains.Weather was perfect. It was pretty dusty dusty if you were last in line. May think about face protection.

We were picked up at our hotel on time and toured with 6 others. Bryan was a well versed guide about the Bonneville Salt Flats and other areas that we went to on this tour. For the price it was the best deal in town.

We had a blast doing the ATV tour with Bryan. 2 of us had never ridden an ATV before and Bryan talked us through how to handle the machines. He was great with giving us instructions. He even made sure to go slow at the beginning to give us time to adapt to the ATV. Some of the area had been washed out by recent storms so it was a little scary for us at times but he took his time and made sure that we were safe. He was very knowledgeable about the Wendover area. Next time we go back to Wendover we plan on doing the Salt Flat tours.

Bryan took our reservation for 8 at a moments notice. We were a group of 'Senior Citizens'. He was kind, respectful, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. The tour consisted of the Bonneville Salt Flats. We just happened to be there during a speed race and his information was great. When we got back into his van to continue our tour, Bryan brushed our shoes off to get the salt off of them. I'm sure this is how he maintained his luxurious van!! (inside joke) We also toured the Wendover Airfield and he knew much about the history and future hopes of the buildings and artifacts. After a brief tour of the city of Wendover, Bryan delivered us back to our motel/casino. A great time was had by all.

My daughter and I wanted to see the Bonneville Salt Flats while in Wendover and this was the perfect way to go. Our guide, Kelly, was a Wendover native and she was very informative. She picked us up at our hotel on time. We were the only ones taking the 11:30 tour, so we received personal attention. Kelly was patient with us and answered all of our questions.

Tony was our guide and he was a witty kind of guy. Made sure we knew where we were geographically along the way. A very safe tour. We enjoyed the trails. Some were steep but all travelers in our group managed just fine. Tony was enjoyable because he goofed with us about how much fun it was to live and work in West Wendover. The scenery at some places for example Pilots Peak is breath taking. A must do for any gambler who needs some fresh air and grit! Only suggestion, port a potty at ATV pick up point by loading camper. We will see you again Tony!

My wife, myself and the couple we were vacationing with in Wendover spent the afternoon taking the Bonneville Salt Flats and Wendover Army Air Base tours. Bryan was very prompt picking us up at our hotel and come to find out we were the only ones on the tour so we had all the personal attention we could have wanted.Bryan is just a storehouse of historical information about the Wendover area, Salt Flats and the Air Base. Since we were the only ones on the tour he took his time and let us get out and check things out up close and personal. First we drove past the Potassium plant where they separate potassium chloride(potash) for fertilizer from the Salt Flats. Then we ventured out on the Salt Flats where we were able to get out and walk around a bit. and collect a few cakes of salt as souvenirs. during this time Brian explained all about the Bonneville Speedway races. The Donner-Reed wagon party that crossed the Salt Flats back in the 1800's. He then took us up to the top of a near by mountain pass where we could get out and look over the mountain range in the distance where Wendover gets it's fresh water supply. We then toured the Army Air Base, he took us inside the Enola Gay hangar, then drove us out to the bomb pit and 50 cal machine gun test range. After a spending some time in the museum Brian drove us past the barracks, chapel, hospital and other prominent remaining buildings on the base. Any question we had Brian had the answer. This was without a doubt one of the best tours we were ever on.

We booked prior to travelling to Wendover for the six of us. Bryan and Kelly picked us up in time and took us on an adventure. Many of us had not been on an ATV before so he took his time explaining all of the safety features and off we went. It was 2 hours if sheer beauty and exhilarating fun. This was the high light of our trip and we are already planning the next trip. Fantastic!

Our trip to Wendover was awesome. People who say Wendover is for the old and retired and that there is nothing to do besides gambling need to take one of the many Intermountain tours. We took the 2 hour ATV ride and it was a blast. Our Guide Mr. C ( Clinton) ROCKS. He took care of the newbie riders and let us more advance riders enjoy the trails as well. Mr. C's knowledge of the area, and his fun facts and super personality made me wish the day just didnt end. The next day we took the combo tour, the Salt Flats and Airbase. Again Mr. C was the BOMB. Above and beyond professional and helpful and just plain FUN.. Afterwards Mr. C took us out to Wendover WIllie for photo ops, as well as the local 2nd hand store. If I ever get back to Wendover it wont be for the Casino's it will be for the Intermountain tours. I want to get back out in the mountains on an ATV again, and I would LOVE to do the Jeep tour as well. Thanks Mr. C you won us all over! To the Casino, Hotel, Local Business Managers, Owners ect of Wendover.... Intermountain Tours, and Clinton the Guide is an ASSET of HUGE PROPORTION to your business and Community!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to Wendover January 2013. Took the Bonneville Salt Flats and Historic Wendover Airfield tour on the fist day with Mr. C (Clinton). He picked us up at the hotel and took us around. He was very informative and easy to chat with about the town and such. We were gone about 2 - 2 1/2 hours touring around. On the second day, Mr. C picked us up again and took us to base camp to get ready for our 2 hour ATV tour. It was very cold (apparently experiencing a cold snap in the area) but they had all the gear we needed to keep warm and safe (insulated suits, gloves, hand warmers, ski masks, jackets, goggles and helmets). Mr. C took us around in the snow and we had a blast! Stopped at a few places for pictures. Had a great time and both days provided us a much needed break from the hotels/casinos. Reasonable pricing for what we experienced and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Did the 2 hour ATV tour ($85) while in wendover this weekend. I quite enjoyed it as a beginner, and found Kelly our guide very knowledgeable and helpful in navigating some of the 'trickier' paths. My boyfriend, and I think every other rider on the tour was more advanced, and some found it a bit boring. Kelly said they also offer 4 hour tours for more advanced riders, so that might be something to look into if you are not down for just a leisurely ride through the mountains. Also, BRING YOUR CAMERA! You stop at some beautiful areas that you can't even access by vehicle. I left my camera at home, but wish that I didn't. Kelly told us that they generally see antelope, deer, wild horses, lizards and ground squirrels, but we didn't see anything. They provided helmets, goggles, jackets or full body coveralls and gloves. There are also coupons in the casinos, 5$ off, which was nice, and IGS does hotel pick ups so you don't need to worry about anything. I would definitely recommend IGS atv tours, but keep in mind that it might be a bit pedestrian or boring if you are very advanced.
