We absolutely loved, loved, John!!! He was so personal, fun and really informative. We have been on the "normal" wine tours before and nothing was like our time with John. He had us cracking up, laughing and chatting on the ride. The boutique wineries were amazing and walking in with him gave us immediate "special" attention! Thanks John.... You are the best! We will be back with more friends!!!!!!

Our group of 6 girlfriends was lucky enough to have John as our guide for a true "insider's" access to some fabulous wineries! John took us to 3 amazing places that were both a source of delightful wines as well as the site of amazing views! He was funny and charming and also informative and accommodating. We feel so fortunate to have had such a terrific guide for this special day. I hope to return to Oregon's wine country and hope to find John still giving his customers inside access to the local wineries!

My wife and I used insiders wine tours at the end of August and would highly recommend using them if you are looking for a wine tour/guide near McMinnville and the surrounding area. We had James as our tour guide (though we ran into John, whom we booked through, as well and he was very nice) and he was friendly and knowledgeable throughout the tour. Gave us plenty of information and answered all of our questions, but also let us have any time we wanted to ourselves to enjoy the scenery, wine and to relax. All of his winery recommendations turned out to be spot on. We had an absolutely great time and would not hesitate to use them again.

John was an awesome tour guide. He arrived promptly at 11am and took us to three unique wineries over the course of the afternoon. We even stopped for lunch in Carlton at a yummy deli. He chatted with us and joked with us, yet gave us our space, too. We never felt rushed. He had the inside scoop on everything and he made the experience fun and memorable. We highly recommend this tour. We wish we had one more day in the wine country to spend with John!

We had a one day tour with John and LOVED it. He chose great wineries that we otherwise may never have found and even brought us places that were by appointment only. John was also extremely friendly throughout the tour and shared some great knowledge of Oregon wine country. Touring with John was a pleasure and we highly recommend him.

My husband and I came out to Oregon for a wedding and decided to add a few extra days on to our trip to visit wine country in Oregon. We booked out wine tour with John and had a wonderful experience. John personally picked us up at our B&B in his town car and took us to some great little boutique wineries. Probably the best service is the fact that he picked us up and drove us to dinner and back after our wine tour. What a wonderful compliment to our day! We were able to enjoy our wine tour and not worry about driving to dinner later in the evening. Thank you John! Hopefully we can come out sometime again!

We used Insiders Wine Tour based on other reviews...plus John was the only person to return our phone calls. He took us to some great small boutique wineries where he knew the owners and interesting facts about their businesses. His sense of humor made the trip fun and lively. Plus he's just a nice guy. So nice that he even came back and picked us up later that night from dinner and drove us home.We highly, highly recommend him to everyone. Amazing!

We enjoyed two great days of winery touring with John of Insiders Wine Tour. He was knowledgeable of the area wineries and also arranged some appointment only tours. John is both friendly and witty and we enjoyed the daily banter back and forth. Looks like before it is said and done we will have ordered 6 cases of Willamette Valley wines as "souvenirs" from our trip. Here's to you, John. Cheers.

So happy we booked this tour with John as our guide. He took us on a fabulous tour of the wineries personalized specifically for us. He knew just what we would enjoy and was very informative of the area and wine industry. His wonderful sense of humor throughout our tour kept us laughing the whole time! Afterward, he dropped us off in McMinnville at a great restaurant (La Rambla) which he recommended. When we were finished, we called him and he took us back to our vacation rental home in Yamhill at no extra charge. A fabulous day was had by all!!!!

Our B&B hosts recommended this company for a tour of wineries in the Willamette Valley. We were delighted they did. My wife and I have been on a lot of these tours and this one by far was the most enjoyable. Our driver was charming, funny and knew so much about the wine business that we were kept entertained all day. His connections resulted in a much more in depth tour of the wineries than other tours we have been on. We felt more like we were visiting with friends than on a tour. As a bonus at the conclusion of the day we were given complimentary drop off and pick up service for dinner which was both appreciated and necessary by that point. All in all a great day.
