This is a fantastic venue! Not just the gardens, but they have a summer outdoor movie night and the sandwiches are great! If you are into gardening or even better, horticulture, you will appreciate the quality of this world class gardens. Do yourself a favor and explore the Conifers... Who knew?Get out there and spend a day exploring all the trails... Appreciate their wetlands and Oak trees... Take away the kids iphone and have them learn something!

Everything was just getting ready to bloom - buds everywhere - and everything is clearly marked and identified. It is pretty amazing to think these gardens are only 13 years old. We will return to wath them grow.

Took my honey to a "quilting show" and ended up walking and enjoying the gardens so much, even in winter. So much so that we are planning a return trip this spring just for the gardens. Best part was the conifers.

This garden is so well laid out and we were enthralled by the conifer garden. So much to see in just this one section of an 80 acre garden. To really benefit from a tour of the garden I need to see it in spring or summer. I highly recommend this attraction.

Lots of holiday lights and amusing decorations. Firepit "stations" set up to keep you warm as you walk - the cold weather did not hinder our enjoyment.

Obviously winter is not the time to visit a Garden. We went because it was part of a getaway package with the adjacent resort. Even in winter though, we had a very pleasant walk, and I could see the bones of the beauty this garden must be in other season. They were setting up the Christmas Village and that looked like it would be a sight to see. One benefit - we had the place to ourselves :) And really the landscape is beautiful and well laid out.

A lovely time, beautiful setting, fun treat to receive a mug in which we could stroll the lighted grounds and stop to fill our mug with various beverages. Did some Christmas shopping in the gift shop too. Fun visit and highly recommend.

If it's been a while since you took a walk outdoors in the dark, now is the time to experience the Oregon Garden's Christmas in the Garden. They've transformed the garden into a sparkling winter wonderland complete with candy cane lane and Santas workshop. Warm drinks, fire pits and fun for everyone.

Even in winter, I enjoyed wandering the gardens. The large gardens have a variety of themes and structures.

I was here Thanksgiving day thru 29th 2014. The last time I was here was 7 years ago. At that time the Garden was still having work done. Not this time I'm happy to say. We woke up refreshed and ready for breakfast. The breakfast I hate to say was Not very good. Tolerable coffee, scrambled eggs from powder, plain steamed potatoes, and dry crumb cake. The seating area is seat yourself, with a few tables on the level where the door to come in is, then down 4 steps, a few more tables, down more stairs to the area where the remainder of tables are. Using a wheelchair was not that great of an option. If I stayed on the 1st level lots more noise and foot traffic and a few accessible tables. The rest inaccessible to me, not a good thing as I use my wheelchair. The food was not good, slow service, few smiles, and high prices make this a guaranteed NO RETURN for me. Really Oregon Garden, I expected much more and am very disappointed with the entire stay. This is the first bad review I have had to write. In all my other travels I have been able to find something good but, NEVER finding anything good, this is a first....................................GOOD LUCK OREGON GARDEN. I WILL NOT BE BACK

Our trip to Oregon was centered on Oregon Garden and the adjacent Oregon Gardens Resort (who is responsible for management of the Garden). Also a not-to-be-forgotten couple nights at Silver Falls State Park nearby. Oregon Garden is a world class botanical park comprised of many different gardens. Our favorite was the conifer garden which is a world repository for rare species. The wide variety of flora and the immaculate maintenance of the grounds is very impressive. The market garden and demonstration plantings were also very interesting. Fortunately the rain let up for the one day we dedicated to the Garden and the freshly water grounds added to the beautiful ambiance. The colors were outstanding and almost took your breath away at times. The camera almost never stopped clicking. We were also very pleased that the Garden is dog friendly and even had a special pet friendly garden pointing out various plants that are friendly or dangerous for cats and dogs. There were a number of funny scarecrows that local organizations and individuals had prepared for the season. Unfortunately, the rain and high winds had toppled several of them.Oregon Garden is well worth a visit and you should plan for a half day to see it in it's entirety.

Most of the leaves have fallen but there were still some flowers holding on. Garden is still nice to stroll around and there's very few people around. Can't beat the prices this time of year for stays at the resort.

November is not the best month to visit the Gardens - flowers were gone and it was cold and wet - but the fountains and conifers, etc were still beautiful.

We found the gardens to be one of the best we have ever visited and we have gone to botanical gardens all over the world. The many clusters of simply gorgeous trees, plants, water features and flowers were enchanting, We cannot wait to return. The resort was lovely and spacious, the food was excellent, the service was exceptional, and the price was right. The trip to the nearby town was disappointing but the tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright Home was fascinating. This was our first but not our last visit to the Oregon Gardens. We would like to visit at a different time of the year to see the different foliage next time.

We became familiar with the different garden areas by first riding the tram a view times, then deciding where we wanted to walk around for photos and some "zen" experiences. We have been to many beautiful gardens, and this one would be in the top 10. The reflection pools, succulents, aspens, roses, streams and fresh air were sensory delights.Tiny chicken coops, and mini-herb and vegetable gardens were great for children to see and learn from. We had a delightful afternoon here, including a nice lunch at the Oregon Garden Resort restaurant. The gift shop was nice, but the prices were very high.
