catawba island state park

Absolutely beautiful park.There are boat ramps,fishing, picnicking, a path for Jogging, such a peaceful, beautiful place. Always been very clean and well kept. Would visit again.

We enjoyed the scenery and beauty of the area. The view of Lake Erie was great. It was clean and inviting.

Catawba Island State Park is a small, 10 acre park with a public Lake Erie boat launch and lot of parking for trailers and tow vehicles. In addition, to the Lake Erie access, there is a large, reservable picnic shelter (866-644-6727), a couple of picnic tables and grills under some mature shade trees, a very small playground and a restroom that is closed in the off season as it was on the nice October day I stopped by for a picnic lunch. While the park was enjoyable, it is not special unless one is looking for a boat launch to fish the western island area of Lake Erie.

Beautiful in the winter with the ice shimmering . The breeze of the water smelling clean and fresh . I can only assume in spring and summer This park is gorgeous. A great place for a BBQ with the Family

Small but well maintained lake front park. Boats coming and going regularly with fisherman on the pier. Lots of parking. Could use some close up handicapped parking.

We ate a picnic lunch here. Small, but nice lake view. One boat launch, one picnic shelter, fishing pier, and restrooms. We got ribs and cheese, etc. from Cheese Haven in Port Clinton and ate lunch here on a beautiful day
