Great park, can keep the little ones busy for hours! Nice shade to keep you cooler if it is warm outside. There is also a splash park that will keep you cool on the hot summer days ( minimal charge).

Wooten park is a quiet oasis located in Tavares, Florida. It's situated next to the depot for the Orange Blossom train, so you can relax in the park either before or after your historic train ride. There is a small lake with wading birds, pretty gazebos, and lots, and lots, of shade trees. There are several restaurants across the street in case you get hungry. If you walk through the park you will arrive at the sea plane marina which is very interesting when there are sea planes there. The park has a wonderful playground for children and even a book exchange box. It's just a lovely place to visit, especially on a warm day since it's lovely and cool under the trees.

This is a nice little park to bring the kids and have a picnic.We enjoyed the facilities and the kids enjoyed the playground and park. Walking out on the pier was nice.

Nice park to sit and relax they're are playgrounds sea planes wildlife all over and even have a book exchange box a nice to just go and walk around and relax when you don't have anything to do

My wife and I helped build the children's playground 20 years ago in Wooten Park. The city has kept it up ever since. But also it is constantly being improved and added to. Water play area for kids. Poo bags and drinking station for dogs. Sea plane rides, etc, etc. And across the street several great restaurants.

I really enjoyed our visit to this park when visiting family in Florida for Christmas. We took our 1 year old, so I knew there would just be a few things he could explore. He's still quite young. I was pleasently suprised with the number of things to do - for various ages. The tranquil setting was relaxing and we enjoyed our time as a family! We took lots of pictures and he had a great time. I will look forward to taking him again there in the future. We also strolled to look at the water and enjoy the views.

We stopped by the playground after riding the Christmas train. The grandson loved exploring the large activity center. Thankful for nearby restrooms. A pier into the lake is also close. I would go again and maybe take a picnic.

The boardwalk is fun to walk and enjoy watching the activity of the people, the seaplanes and boats. I really enjoy the gift shop too.

A great place for the grand kids to play in the water park. Also very relaxing for the adults. Restaurants close by. Just a great place to visit.

A fabulous Park for all ages, kids park, splash park, nice area to walk or picnic. In downtown, food and shopping nearby. Sea Plane Rides available and a captain's store along with fuel for boats and sea planes alike! A must place to visit!!

Our son had a great time hanging out here while waiting for the Orange Blossom train. Really like that there's only one exit so the kids can run around and you know they can't go to far.

We were pleasantly surprised at our arrival at Wooton Park this past Saturday. We got off the Orange Blossom Cannonball train expecting not to find anything in the area and there it was! A beautiful park with a pier right on the lake! It is big, has a beautiful view of the lake, there’s a playground for the children, restrooms, nice benches to sit and relax in the shade and we absolutely loved the pier and its new pavilion. We’re looking forward to going back during the Holidays for their Christmas celebrations. We were lucky enough to have gone during their pavilion opening/inauguration so there was music, a nice exhibition of exotic cars on the pier and a lovely atmosphere, we only wish we would have known beforehand so that we would have scheduled our return to Mount Dora at a later time.
