lake desoto farmers market

It's a small farmers market. Only plan for 30 minutes or so. But the people are nice and the selection is good. It's right next to a beautiful lake and a park, with several historical markers to read. It's also walking distance to the nearby historical museum. If you live within an hour of Lake City, I'd say it's entirely worth the drive. Show up around 10 am, browse the market, walk around the lake, read about the interesting history, visit the museum, and grab a lunch. It's relaxing and refreshing.

The farmers market was pretty small when we went the middle of June... just a couple places selling produce that looked wonderful, and a couple crafts and a bakery. It is located right on a beautiful lake so we walked around the lake - great paved pedestrian walk alongside the roadway. About a mile around - lovely walk with plenty of ducks.
