We decided to go camping on a whim. We got to camp in the same area as the RV's. I loved it! We did not have to camp on the pad, but got to camp on the grass...this was super! The guy that runs the camping area was helpful and friendly. We bought some fire wood and had us a little fire:) The new bathrooms and showers are amazing! Super SUPER clean and I was obviously impressed. It was cold outside, but the fire and nice warm bathrooms made it wonderful. :) Who went? My 16 year old brother in law...my 11 year old daughter...my husband and myself. We roasted hot dogs and not to leave out...marshmallows:) MmmmmmmMMmmMm I liked camping w/the RVs. The RV folks are always nice. You can get snacks in the day at the main office. There is also a seafood restaurant in driving or if it's nice out ...walking distance. You can rent a bike, fish, or hike the trails at this park. They have a playground and mini golf area. Great place to just get away:)

This is our local kayak spot. Plenty of water trail, good views. Last time the current was moving pretty quick with the recent rain, so if you're a beginner looking for an easy ride, call ahead and consider taking two cars, one to drive you to the start and one to keep at the finish to drive you back ... that way you can travel down with the current. Most days though, it's just nice out there. Worth a visit. Great group of people working the front desk.

Loved the water and walking areas. Liked reading about the wildlife. There are nice campgrounds for those pulling their RVS down to Florida for the winter. If we had more time I would love to rent bicycles and ride around the park.

Great place to camp and just get away from it all. Love the camp loops with all the new features. Swimming fishing hiking putt-putt bikes canoes and much more.

Wonderful, spacious campsite. Unbelievably level. One loop with sewer. One new bath house. Lots of room for children to play safely. Kinda remote, but would stay here again. Very well kept. Staff friendly and helpful.

Love the scenery! The park is kept up and there are family places to reserve. Playground for kids is wonderful.

I live near Reed Bingham but had never been. I went this past weekend and am so glad I did. We decided to canoe and possibly swim. The canoe rentals are inexpensive but you can get them for a relatively long period of time (4 hours). The rental was very easy and the staff person very nice. Getting the canoe and hopping in the water was a breeze. The river is beautiful and there were many places to "pull off" to just enjoy being on the water. We swam from a dock we encountered and then moseyed back to return the canoe. Reed Bingham also has a little swimming area and we did that as well. It wasn't deep and it wasn't huge, but it was an enjoyable little place to swim, complete with a little beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our experiencd!

It is a very nice park. Good fishing place either on bank or in a boat. They have nice places to walk, trail and nice picnic areas.

We stopped here and camped for a night while enroute to Talladega AL. We had made advanced reservations online. Check-in was a snap and they even gave us a small refund after they found out we were military veterans. The camping sites are large and some are even shady. Full hook-ups on some including cable TV. We opted for sites with out sewer. The bathhouse was very clean and well maintained. The entire park area we walked was well groomed and liter free. They do a nice job there. There's a really nice lake there too and there has to be fish in it. We saw boats out there both days. We will stay there again on our next trip up north.

I recently attended a wedding at this beautiful state park. The grounds seemed well maintained and the playground was fabulous. We were in a spacious air conditioned group shelter that had a large kitchen and private bathrooms. The room was perfect for the reception. If you are looking for a place for a party. This park offers a nice building on a beautiful property. I hope I get the opportunity to visit again soon.

the ample pull thru allowed us to park next to a huge majestic tree draped wtih "moss". The sites were absolutely level with much room between RV;s. My husband said it all, "Where can you find such beuaty, immerse yourself in nature, and yet have such amenities AND Cable TV. He is Mr. Picky and felt this is the best RV site we have had in 3 years of traveling in our Tiffin RV.

This Thanksgiving holiday we met up with our son at Reed Bingham State Park for a holiday feast. This park is located just outside of Adel, Ga very close to interstate 75. The easy access was great and did not produce a problem for us as we pulled in after dark. The park is spread out on each side of a lovely lake. There are three small islands you can paddle to and one had paddle in camping! How cool is that!? The island accommodates up to 30 campers. The main campground is lovely and is divided into two loops. One allows tents along with travel trailers up to Class A campers and the other is travel trailers and up only. There are several premium sites with water, sewer and electric hook ups. A dump station is also on site. The camp sites are flat and well maintained. There is laundry available and also large clean restrooms and showers. And a family restroom/shower is available too. The seven miles of trails are flat and easy to walk. They are well maintained and were marked for the numerous gopher tortoises that nest there. The lake is beautiful and very large. Sorry i dont know how large but it is a fishermans dream! We spent six days at this park and there were boats on the lake every day.The camp host are friendly and have lots of fire wood for sale or bikes to rent. They even have a bike that looks like an ecliptical. It was a lot of fun and quite a work out too! This is also one of only a few Georgia parks that offer a discount for 30 day stays. Very friendly to our snowbird friends. Be sure to ask for the discount during the November to February time of year. All in all we had a great time at this lovely park and would recommend it. If you do stay be sure to visit the town of Moultrie. It's quant and the people are lovely.

We took a pontoon boat tour to see the vultures. I apologize, but I don't remember the boat captain's or the guide's names. They were both fantastic and very knowledgeable. Even though most of the vultures had already left the area, it was still pretty incredible to see the remaining ones. We got to see some of the gopher tortoises. I don't believe we had ever seen any of these in the wild, so we were thrilled to see them. The park also has a wide variety of birds, including bald eagles which we unfortunately did not get to see. There is a campground that we all agreed we will have to try sometime. We were just passing through on our way to Florida, so we didn't get to spend as much time there as we would have liked. Next time, we plan to spend the weekend.

For clarification, I am only rating the campground as it relates to RV and Trailer camping. No consideration is given for other aspects of a campground/park, such as swimming pools, clubhouses, or activities such as fishing or canoeing. Also, many campgrounds may have RV/TT sites that vary in quality. My assessment is base on what I perceive as the best they have to offer.I use a two part rating system. The first is based on the basic elements that most campgrounds provide. The value for each of the items is fixed. This puts all campground on the same level based on what they provide. The final rating is the basic number plus a factor of my assessment of campground maintenance, cleanliness and overall aesthetics. Occasionally, I will throw in a note to explain my evaluation. Most any campground can earn at least a basic 5.0 rating. For me an acceptable campground for a multiple night stay will have to have a final rating of 7.0 or above. Very few campgrounds will go over a 9.0 with 10 being the max. On Trip advisor a 6.5 to 7.0 is equivalent to 3 circles, four circles will be 7.5 to 8.0 and 5 circles are above will be 8.5 and above.Basic evaluation: RV/Trailer Campsite review, (48) sites only 18 with sewer hookup, Surface: gravel (good width with decent back-in ease), Electricity Hookup: all have 20-30-50 amp connection, Water Hookup: Yes, Sewer Hookup: Yes, Dump station: Yes, Grills/Fire Ring: Yes, Picnic Table: Yes, Comfort Station: Yes. Value = 5.5Secondary rating. Based on the, good maintenance of the sites, cleanliness of the comfort station, I added 1.5 points to the rating for an overall rating of 6.5This is generally a decent park with a few really pretty sites but most sites are blah. I did not find the campground very interesting. If you like the lake activities, canoeing, fishing etc you probably would rate it higher. If you are traveling it is defiantly good for an overnight stay. We stayed here 5/2013 for two nights (30 Ft. travel trailer)..Note:While we were there the flying gnats were very annoying. If stood in one place for more that a minute they were all in your face. The site cable TV hookups were not working while we were there. There is a good seafood restaurant open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday just outside the gate.

We camped here over the weekend. The campground is very nice. The spanish moss trees are awesome. The facilities are a little worn out but they keep everything pretty clean.
