In this church, there are a lot of pictures about bible's story. If you understand the story, then it will be more respect you can give for this church because the stories are a lot painted in the interior.Definitely one of the highlight in Milan (after Duomo of course...)

Probably one of the most impressive things to see in Milan. Can imagine peasants gazing up at these glorious biblical images and truly feeling that they were in the presence of something magical (before the invention of TV of course).

Only popped in on passing and wouldn't say I am in any way an art person but this little church is very impressive with it's wall to wall art pieces and definitely worth a look!

It's Indeed the Sistine chapel of Milan. In fact I enjoy Chiesa di San Maurizio more as it is less crowded, allowing me to take my time to admire all the amazing frescos, with clear view free of crowd. Not to be missed!

This should be number two on your things to see list in Milan, given the cost (free) and the time required to see it well (about an hour). Well worth making sure this is on your walk around tour of the central area of Milan.

Not a major attraction in Milan, but one of my favourite churches in Milan. In the cappella frescoed by Bernardino Luini among best concerts of ancient music are performed. Look for one.

It's not a big church, but nearly every square inch is decorated & devotional! One guidebook called it: "the Sistine Chapel of Lombardy". A perfect description! Wonderful for its Art & it's depiction of the religious life centuries ago! Worth a trip to see it!

My husband and I just happened by this on the way to another location and we were in awe. The interior is just mesmerizing. The paintings are gorgeous. And it was free!

This church was lovely and a surprise to see the paintings inside. Definitely worth the stop, though we got a little lost and ended up seeing another lovely church that morning as well. :)Make sure you see both parts - the front part and the hidden part. Ask for help if you aren't sure where to go.

We delayed our departure in order to visit this church and we don't regret. This small church has very beautiful paintings in both parts, the public and the monastery one. The visit do not take long but it is pure pleasure. We share completely the high rankig given by the community.

This building has a lot of history, but if time is tight, I would consider seeing some of the other sights Milan as to offer.Staff were friendly. Many locals enjoying the sunshine in the front courtyard, when we visited.

Right beside the Archaeological musem of Milano, you won't even notice that church. Once you enter the door surprises will never end, the art Milano is sometimes hiding will be disclosed to you in its magnificence.
