A small but perfectly formed display. Well laid out and beautifully presented. You'll have to go far to better this.

This little museum has been beautifully created and kept by the villagers of the surrounding areas themselves. The trip to Steni village is along some lovely mountain roads with great views and the village itself is well kept with a good taverna/restaurant opposite the museum. There are a lot of steps down to the museum and it isn't air conditioned which might limit some visitor's enjoyment but the enthusiasm of the curators and the fascinating glimpse into the recent past that the exhibits give are worth it.

A good collection of local history has been assembled in this Museum. There is a monthly market held on the grounds the one 3rd sunday a month, after making your purchases of local crafts and home made foods you can have a great lunch across the road in a small restaurant which serves great food with very genrous helpings :-)

It's free, the collection is extensive and the objects give a wonderful view into the past world of village life. It's well worth a visit and the cafe/restaurant across the road is a good place to finish your visit off in.

We were recommended to go here by Mr Sunset, really glad we did, full of Cyprus history and artefacts , no set fee, just make a donation in the box , fabulous location.

The museum is beautifully located in the main road through Steni. It houses a large number of implements and household artifacts which are all numbered. There are books available explaining the corresponding numbers which make it easy to follow through the museum at your own pace.It is surely not the dark and dusty picture that comes to ones mind when you hear the word museum. It is well worth a visit.

This is an high quality small museum that's very well kept and depicts village life in recent past centuries on the island. Every artefact has an id tag that you can read about in the comprehensive presentation handout in English. There is parking with stairs down to the museum, however there is relatively level access with a couple of steps from the side road to the front of the museum for those less able.Well worth a visit. Entrance is free and it worthy of a donation.

What can I say - this is something really special. The village has taken great care to collect as much "old" stuff that they could get their hands on - thousands of things - and put them in a little museum that highlights life in the village - not just Steni, but it was the same for all the villages.Everything is laid out well and there was someone on hand, an old local, who sat and explained EVERYTHING we asked. This is a place that any tourist visiting Cyprus will love to go and see and enjoy. It is also a place that every Cypriot MUST VISIT so that they do not forget where they came from.A fantastic day out for all the family of any age - 6 to 126!

Surprising find in very pretty village of Steni. Well worth spending 20 minutes on this free attraction that is superbly kept and an obvious labour of love. Of especial interest was the dentists pliers! Not for the faint hearted! Combine with lunch at the friendly, excellent value and very tasty taverna over the round, and a very enjoyable trip all round.

The museum contains a wealth of traditional artefacts of Cyprus village life, both small and large. It is well laid out and it is easy to spend an hour here. Not quite so good for young children.

We decided upon this trip as it was close to where we are staying and sounded interesting. When we arrived we were also greated by the Steni Village Farmers Market, 3rd Sunday of each month). The whole area was clean and organised. The museum building has been created by the Mayor of Steni and its residents over a period if time. The museum shows how Cypriot people lived & worked until after WW2. It is well laid out with English translations amd a fantastic guide to help you to understand what is being shown. It shows also the love and passion the Mayor has of his heritage.A definite must if in the Paphos region, followed by a drink.or meal.on the cafe opposite.
