although february it was a good day for walking to cross the bridge and climbing to petrovaradin fortress. It has wonderful city view, especially danube view. There are some restaurants and cafe's if you have time.

Enjoy having coffee with a beautifull view of the city, it's relaxing. There is a nice restaurant, parking lot nearby.

If you are in ordinary good health I really recommend walking across the bridge for the best experience. The old worn houses in the area around the castle have a lot of character and approaching by foot gives you a really good appreciation of the battlements. Can be fairly muddy on wet days and not necessarily a cab waiting at the top to drive you back. You could cheat and take a cab up and walk down if you are pressed for time. Good viewing points at the clock tower.

Easier than walking (long walk) but bumpy road (likely was when it was built and things have not improved) :) But worth it.eat city views. Nice lunch spot as well. Visited several times since 2011.

I was here at least ten times, last time 2 years ago. Every time it is in better shape but still they could do more but I am afraid that then it wouldnt be free. Very nice view of the Dunav river and the city. If you combine it with lunch and a few drinks it is priceless.

Even February, weather was fantastic, and the view to the city also. The food and service in the restaurant was also perfect

If you stay in Novi Sad you have to go there! It's very nice and you get a very nice view to Novi Sad

Very great to have such a huge fortress in the cuty, amazing veiws from it, but lokals do not taking care about it - trash and graffitys everywhere

I was in Novi Sad with my friends by January 2015 and we just love it. Novi Sad is colourful city and surrounded with nice buildings. And Petrovaradin fortress has amazing view. You can see all parts of Novi Sad clearly and it's the best place which we have ever been in Balkans.

It is a nice place to visit. The fortress is well preserved. It has also a small museum. There are some restayrants up there where you can enjoy the view. It s a must see!

Petrovaradin Fortress is one of the most beautiful places in Novi Sad. The unique watch, big fortress or lot of labyrinths inside is the best choice for the family or couple trip in Vojvodina. In sunny weather you can see the whole city Novi Sad and also the villages around. If you would like get some coffee you can sit in one from lot of restaurants or bars right there. People there are very peaceful and polite.

Petrovaradin Fortress is an 18th century fortress located on the right bank of the Danune river in Novi Sad, in the province of Vojvodina, Serbia. You need to visit before noon to have good view and photo opportunities for Novi Sad town. Anyway, it's still worth visiting in the afternoon for the view of nearby villages.

Perfect place for having romantic evenings with the view of the whole city. Perfect place to have fun during EXIT Festival on June, perfect place to spend time with friends drinking fresh juice ore beer with nice views or reading the book in the summer time :D
