据导游介绍，由于自然原因以及偷窃，该古城现在保存的东西已经不多了，虽然导游一直说这里amazing，但是我觉得要是没那几根柱子好像我老家的后山。这是我们在土耳其看的第一个古城，当时觉得还可以，但是当后面一圈efes什么的看下来，觉得真心一般。。大还是蛮大的，就是觉得真的破败的不成样子了。我们去时正在修复大门，希望修好以后能精彩一点，门票十五里拉。

After seeing Efez, Aspendos, Thermessos, Didyma, Priene and Milét I thought, that nothing special will be there, but I was wrong! I can recommend this visit! Pity, that amphitheatre was closed. Great atmosphere, specially between strong rains...

after 30 minute drive from Antalya city, you can reach there with beautiful gate and great walls too many nice status and colouns, ,it' was nice trip in Antalya holiday, we realy liked and enjoyed too much with all our family and friends.

We came in the early evening in our car the ruins were empty and we had a guidebook to walk around with. Was very relaxing and my daughter was delighted to see small turtles roaming around. Be careful though as some dodgy hobo came up to me and my wife and tried seeking us a coin which he claimed he unearthed from the site. 1) Turkey has strict laws around stealing historical artefacts and 2) growing up where I did u knew the guy was hustling me from the moment he spoke, so quite rightly I told him to jog along.Very relaxing and beautiful place highly recommend this if its the only thing u see in Antalya. Avoid during the day though as there is very little shelter anywhere here.

About 20 km from Antalya you find the historical place Perge. It is a place from the Roman era site. It costs 20 lire for entrance for adults. I recommend good shoes as there can be some walking in rough terrain. We were there for about 30 minutes since we had short time but you can easily spend 1-2 hours here. Some places where closed due to restauration. There is a small souvenir shop beside the entrance. I really like historical places like this. It is so beautiful and impressive.

It's well worth doing a combined day trip to Perge and Aspendos (Roman Theatre). Both sites are well preserved and very interesting. A large amount of the amazing statues originally at Perge are now in the Museum of Architecture at Kaleici. It was very useful to visit the museum first to then imagine how Perge would have looked in all it's original splendour. The trip we did also took in a nature park with waterfalls at kursunlu which is very picturesque.

Wonderful roman era site, alot of it still standing, entrance gates, baths, amphitheatre. Take good shoes as it's a large site, go in the mornings early to avoid the crowds and high temps of southern Turkey, and there are guides available to walk you through. These are really a good value I think as just walking yourself with a guidebook or map you don't get all the special stories and info the guides have. Nice restaurant and souvenir shop at entrance. Cute and passive (not dangerous) feral dogs walking about the site to pet and play with. I wouldn't miss this site if you are touring southern Turkey with a stop in Antalya, though it's not close enough for a cab ride. I would arrange to go on one of the buses to Perge, and see the amphitheatre at Aspendos also. That is incredible, and still a functioning amphitheatre with concerts there nowadays. Aspendos is in incredible state of either preservation or repair, because it looks brand new like when it was built 2000 years ago!

It is situated in outskirts of Antalya city about 20 km from the center, can be reached by local buses running frequently from the city center, continued with minibuses that are running right in front of the site. Perge is the best preserved and excavated ruins in the region, excavations have been going on in this site over 20 years, that I know. They have added a new section, streching towards west of the Agora area, and it was a good surprised for me eventhough I visit this site almost every year once or twice. It gives me the feeling of once there were great thinkers, planners who had great architectural skills whenever I get bored by the plain and dull buildings of Antalya. It is certainly a place to see in Antalya, adult ticket costs around 20 Turkish L. I would spare at least half a day or full to indulge in the history. From the nearby town Aksu, you can also walk up to the site, or can have a meal (kofte) at one of the roadside restaurants in Aksu after a long and relaxing visit to the site.

It looked very nice but unfortunately due to heavy rain we could not walk around. Is however not easy to find due to lack of road markings/signs

The site is a considerable size. You can get a really good feel for how it must have looked like during Roman times. The Roman baths are still easy to identify. We took a walk around the top of the Stadium too and could easily imagin chariot races being held there. There are photo teams wandering around the site dressed as gladiators and we had great fun posing with them for photos. Worth a visit but there is no shade on site so make sure you use plenty of sun block, have a bottle of water with you and pack a hat.

A nice and well preserved ancient Roman city. Worth visiting specially when taking a tour that also lead you to the ancient Roman anphitheater nearby.

1st time seeing ancient ruins and it was great that it was so close to Antalya as we were able to take public buses to get there with little kids too! We were with friends that live in Antalya so they knew some of the history, but it was still such a great place and experience walking around - even in windy December!There are signs and some useful information as well, that were nice to learn and know what you're looking at, if you don't have or want a guide. Very peaceful and nice walk. And cool to set your mind back trying to visualize what it looked like with the amazing granite and marble pillars, floors and the massive 'bath' areas.

interesting ancient site. the best way to visit is to book a tour via your hotel: that includes a guide that can give background information. the downside is that there isn't always a lot of time to explore the site on your own.

We enjoyed the tour of Perge. I kept wishing that I could be transported back in time in order to see this place when it was in its glory. The Romans had developed wonderful innovations for their time. It was quite spectacular. If you have the time, please visit this with a well-versed tour guide; you won't be disappointed.
