A very small museum, but there you can see a beautiful mosaic floor. The only problem is that the museum is far from the main road, so you either walk, like i did, or you hire a taxi.

Misis mosaic museum is a little house placed 26 km away from Adana. A cute family is taking care of the place. But the museum is in a bad condition and needs a little more attention from the authorities. When you go there you must see the old bridge very close to the museum. the view is good and you can take a lot of photos. But don't set your expectations high, otherwise you can be disappointed.

It's worth a tour if you are in the region. This is a small museum with very little budget and maintenance... I thought the place was closed or under renovation once I ran in but surprise, the mosaics are all on the ground !Lovely mosaics telling us the story of animals taken by Noah onto his ship.-4th century-

If you have NOT been to any of the Mosaic Museums in Turkey, then start with this one, because it is very small and seemingly insignificant. The mosaics found in this area are few in number--the building built around the artifacts is for shelter only. What is visible is amazing--but there is not a lot to make a huge impact on you. We got in at closing time for nothing--the 11 year old boy was adorable in telling us [in Turkish] what little he knew about things. The museum is on the way to the Misis Bridge--that is a significant ediface in this area. Recommend viewing both of these if you want a 1/2 day of "exploring". It's just fun to drive out here!

Not what you have in mind as a traditional museum. It’s located in the middle of nowhere, through a small village amongst fields of sheep. It cost 2-3 Lira to enter. The outside is littered with broken ruins of intricate carved pillars, sarcophagus, flower boxes, vases, other things unrecognizable, and shattered pieces of mosaics which look suspicious. –I’m not a mosaic expert, but I don’t believe that ancient romans had chicken wire and rebar to construct their mosaics with; which is what these chunks of mosaic had embedded in them. The only thing I can think of is it’s some kind of abandoned mosaic restoration project? The building itself is ran down and old. It’s constructed of one large room with a catwalk overlooking a sunken floor that is the mosaic the museum in known for. The mosaic inside is a large floor depicting the story of Noah’s ark. At least half of it is damaged or missing. But the mosaic pieces that remain are quite beautiful and colorful showing the many animals of the ark, combined with some floral accents and tons of borders and patterns within the design. This museum is cheap enough it’s worth the visit and it has a small proximity to some other local sites of Yilanke or Snake Castle, a Roman bridge, Karavans ruins just over the bridge, and Gokvelioglu Castle named after it’s village located past the bridge, first right and 20 mins south.

Tek söylenecek söz başlıkta.Oradaki eserler gerçekten çok değerliler fakat korumaya altında değiller devletin acilen oraya bir el atması lazım.

Biraz bakimsiz olabilir ama gidip görülmesi gereken yerlerden birisi. 100 mt ilerisinde tarihi lokman hekim köprüsü bulunuyor.
