From Opatija to Lovran is cca 7 km. It is a nice walk, especially in the evening. Just do not wear heels, it's better to have confortable shoes, because it is paved with nice stone. I didn't liked that the fence in some parts was broken. There are also benches along, so jou can enjoy the view at Kvarner.

In Opatija a relaxed stroll along the Lungomare is a must. Stunning architecture of the many villas (now mostly hotels) brings the grandeur of a bygone era with beautiful gardens as well.

If you're in Opatija on a sunny day, there's nothing nicer than a stroll on the lugo mare to the fishing village of Volosko. Great views, just next to the sparkling sea.

in spring and autumn even more... very nice scenery, quite nice, long walk, fresh sea air, if you're lucky to get some sun tan... can't beat anything

Opatija "lungo mare" walkway stretches 15km from the small tourist city Volosko, trough Opatija to Lovran. If you are visiting Opatija or some other destination neer by, come to Lungo Mare for a stroll...

Traditional "Lungo Mare" but quite good for a nice walk along rocky beaches and small havens. Nice gardens when approching city centre of Opatija

I love walking. I think this boardwalk is about 13 km long, following the sea along the way! Absolutely unique experience as from one side there is this beautiful sea the whole way and on the other one can admire great architecture of old Italian and Austrian Hungarian Villa's built a century ago, with belonging beautiful green gardens. Lungo Made was built in 1800's by Austrian emperor Franz Joseph. Along the way there are restaurants and coffee bars and in the tourist season, June- September there are public toilets, with cost 2kn(around 0,30euro). I always say that the best fun is for free, so is this beautiful seaside boardwalk! Opatija is a very unique beautiful town to visit and I would recommended it to everyone!

A great walk thru Opatija. Full of spectacular photo opportunities and all the other attractions ( 2 parks, the church, villas) are along the way so you basically just walk the Lungo Mare and you'll visit everything important in Opatija.

Excellent walk and full of great photo opportunities. Other attractions (2 parks, villas, lady with the seagull) are on the way and you basically just need to walk on the Lungo Mare and you'll see everything important in Opatija.

This is a lovely walk with many interesting sites on the way. Alternatively you can make for one of the little bays on the walk and set up camp for the day. These bays are suitable for children and have small playing areas as well as the lure of the water. Very highly recommended attraction in Opatija.

An absolutely amazing way to meander along the coast. Take the 2 kilometre walk from Opatija to Volosko; it's spellbinding

I give it 5 stars for the views. The walkway itself needs quite a bit of tlc in places. The banisters look a little dangerous and some of the old concrete pools are rotting away. It's nice to walk all the way to Opatija which takes between 70 and 90 minutes (depending on your speed) and there are plenty of restaurants along the way (and you can take the local bus for the way back).

This seaside walking path takes you from Lovran to Opatija and just beyond for a total 12kms. If you intend to run it like I did get out there early for the sunrise and beautiful view. The path can be a little rough at times with stones loose in the path but it is kept very clean by the local council? workers every morning. At the beaces of Ika and Icici there is free WIFI and also free WIFI in Opatija. There are several water fountains along the way with cool fresh water. The toilets along the are paid toilets 2 Kunas. There are numerous bars and restaurants along the path so plenty of place to eat and drink.

Peaceful walk along the seaside of the Kvarner Riviera stretches for miles with benches along the way to rest and enjoy the scenery. Plenty of swimming platforms/rocks to cool off in the summer season, off season great walks or jogs.

Walk for an hour from Opatija to Volosko on a beautiful paved walk along the Adriatic. Pass by luxury hotels. See stunning scenery. There are many benches for resting, public restrooms and no litter along the walk. It's a great way to pass some time while in Opatija.
