Another gem when to be found in Pula and definitely worth 20 minutes of your time. A great example of ancient Roman architecture outside of Italy and a well preserved standing testament to Roman influence outside of Italy

The temple is very attractive from the outside and is worth spending time for a few photos. I peeked inside the door to determine whether or not it was worth paying the admission fee. The small interior didn't seem to have much to offer, so I contented myself with just seeing the exterior.

As you tour the streets of Pula, this is worth a look. Not as impressive as the areas, but another reason to visit the town of Pula. Be sure to also view the Roman city walls as you walk from the waterfront.

Can get busy outside when all the tours arrive, but you are bound to come by again if staying in Pula, so pick the right moment. Have a look round the back of Temple and tie up with the symmetry with back of town hall.

in the centre of town, right next to the old municipl hall, the Temple of Augustus looks as if the Romans had just left. Impressive to see such a complete version of an ancient building.

It is just a little room with not much to see. But 10kuna entry fee is not much if you like to see what is inside. Dogs are not allowed.

As an armchair historian I was blown away by the roman artefacts on display - well worth a look and you can enjoy a beer in the lovely square outside...

Very interesting and very photogenic from the outside, but visiting the interior only takes 10-15 minutes - they could probably do a bit more with this glorious ancient building.

The temple is in the centre of the city on the forum, the columns at the front of the building are magnificent. Inside you can look at some authentically art or reminds. Open only in summer only 10 kunas= 1€ entrance.

Whilst this is a small building and there is a small collection of Roman artifacts inside, the building looks stunning from the outside as it is situated right in the main square (Forum).Only 10kn (£1) to get in - summer only.

The temple is in the centre of the city on the forum, the columns at the front of the building are magnificent. Take the time and pay the small fee to see inside as it has been restored well to resemble the original building. Exhibits inside are tagged in English for tourists to understand. The forum is still today a very busy and frequented place but very different from that of two thousand years ago.

Although it was badly damaged by a bomb, it has now been fully restored, and is almost complete. It is quite small but beautifully proportioned. It is worth paying the small amount of entry fee to see the interior and the sculpture.

The temple is in a surprisingly good condition considering its age. It was good to sit down its shadow to take a rest, but nothing special, just an another monument form the Roman era.

The Temple of Augustus is the heart of the central square of Pula . It is surrounded by cafes and restaurants , the excellent Tourist Information Office (if you are planning to visit the Istrain hill towns - they have lots of information) and the Town Hall.The temple was built between 2BC and 14 AD and has steps leading up to a porch supported by six Corinthian columns inside there is a display of Roman statues and artefacts.(admission charge) It has in it's past life been a church and a grain store.Certainly a great photographic opportunity !!

This well-preserved temple is a very attractive adornment to a great little square, perfect to admire while having a drink in one of the cafes. I was also glad I spent the few bucks to get in, as it had a couple of interesting things inside. One was a Roman gravestone which had its text curiously spilling out of the central part of it, and another was a fragment of what must have been a large statue of a senior Roman officer, of which now only a leg remained, but interestingly had a vanquished Celtic warrior as his prisoner, headless now, but with what seemed to be a Celtic torc, suggesting possibly a Briton. Fascinating.
