It was nice to see the birds that naturally exist in Brazil that we would not otherwise see but I don't generally like seeing them in cages. They do have larger cages and you have to pass through gates to go from one section to another so the birds are able to fly around. The one section had over 100 macaws.

I thought...bird park? How interesting could that be? But in fact, it's an impressive facility that takes in injured birds or captured birds from the illegal pet trade and gives them a second chance. There is also a breeding program which is admirable. It's not perfect, but overall impressive. The large open aviaries where birds walk and fly around you are probably the most enjoyable.

Most tourists will probably be attracted to Iguacu for the falls, but if you do visit then do not miss the bird park.It is located close to the entrance to the national park so there is no need for a separate journey. The entrance fee was $R34 per person (about $10 US) and we spent a leisurely 2 hours inside. You get a chance to get really close to the birds.

No matter if you have other attractions in the list, after you visit the falls from both sides, this one must be at top of the list.So many birds, each one coming nicer than be one that we just left behind. Since this is also a hospital for the birds, it also has it human side, not just another show!

beautiful and amazing experience to be with the birds and learn more about the Brazilian fauna. The park is well structured , just do not leave the park taking coconut water , it will have to hold it until the end of the walk . Since the wastes do not contain space for them

You'll for sure remember this visit for the rest of your life. The park is perfectly organized with a lot of information on the many incredible birds. I couldn't recommend enough a visit here. It's no doubt one of the best things to do in Brazil.

I really loved my 2-3 hour trip here while staying at the falls. I took lots of pictures of many beautiful birds. Some of the more open aviaries were spectacular with the noise and bird movement. It is not very expensive and it is a very worthwhile trip if you are near the falls.

When we first arrived my husband was concerned that some of the birds were in small aviaries, but once we went around we realised that many of these birds have been rescued and can breed safely. All the birds were in excellent condition and very beautiful. The park is well laid out and the highlight going into the Macaws large aviary. Good for all ages and you can spend a few hours here.

This amazing park is very near the waterfall in Brazil and is a 'must do'. The picture above with the toucan adversing the Parque Das Aves could be me :) It isn't me but I have a photograph exactly like it as I stroked the beautiful toucans and other wonderful birds. If you love birds you won't be disappointed I promise.

I was pleasantly surprised coming here. I thought it would be your run of the mill bird park and it really wasn't. It was a real treat and there are areas where the birds are free and they are extremely close. These are great picture taking opportunities. The price was fair and it is at your own pace.

In just 2 hours, you could see hundreds of beautiful birds and butterflies. Parrots and toucans are everywhere. Some birds you can touch and take a photo with them.

I'm not much of a bird lover but this park was awesome. This is walkable distance to the falls too so you can do the both of them in the same day

This bird sanctuary is the best we have ever seen, world wide. It is easy to meander through the natural jungle setting and get close to the birds. There is a fee but it is worth the money and you can have a snack at the two snack areas within the park. It is located near the entrance of the national park.

Gives a very good look at several types of birds common in the area. Also nice butterfly enclosure. Just a few hundred metters from the entrance to Iguacu National Park

The park, which is over five hectares in size, allows visitors to connect with birds, butterflies, and reptiles from the Atlantic rain forest and with exotic species from around the world; many of them endangered. There are over 800 birds many of which have been rescued. The park has the largest aviary for macaws in the world. Once inside, you will be amazed at these colourful and stunning birds as they fly around oblivious to the visitors. The bird sanctuary is close to the Brazilian main gate of the National Park for Foz do Iguacu. Non-Brazilians pay R$ 34,00 per person for entry to the Parque Das Aves. Credit cards are accepted.
