This was our 2nd stop in our first day tour of Galapagos and it was amazing to see the tortoises in their natural habitat. We saw some basking in a pond, eating, walking around, one even hissed at us. We loved seeing the tortoises and enjoyed a nice fruit and empanadas back afterwards. This was definitely the highlight of day 1 of our trip.

We went here on our way from the airport to the hotel. It was magical! I've never seen such large tortoises, and so many just wandering around. They are beautiful! You are not supposed to touch the tortoises, but you can get pretty close and they aren't bothered at all. Just walk around and enjoy the natural beauty. There's a large gift shop, but we didn't buy anything. We did, however, have a bite to eat afterward and the food was good.

Highly recommended if you have time in Santa Cruz Island to explore Rancho Primicias. You do not need to go through a tour agency to go to Rancho Primicias. Just flag a taxi and say "Rancho Primicias" and they'll take you on the 20 minute drive to Santa Rosa area. It was amazing to see the giant tortoises in their natural habitat. Our taxi driver was nice to show us around the area to spot tortoises and even took us to see the lava tunnels. In the main waiting area, you can go inside tortoise shells to pose with them. The shells are huge! Admission was $3 per person. The taxi cost $30 round trip. The owner of our guesthouse said that this was the going price. You must visit when you have a chance!

We did this as part of a tour with a national park guide... I think you can enjoy it a lot more if you go with someone that can tell you about the tortoises than just going there on your own to see them. Now there are *lots* of them. They were all walking and moving around freely. Some of the tortoises are very old (over 200 years old) and they still move around a fair bit! You cannot touch them but you can get quite close (2 meters). After you see them, you can have lunch at the place. They also harvest their own Galapagos organic coffee. It's quite a nice one too.

As tartarugas gigantes estão em todos os lugares. É impressionante, ainda mais ao ar livre, sem cercas. É possível chegar perto delas. Tivemos a sorte de vê-las no acasalamento. É possível contratar um guia para explicar sobre o lugar e os animais.

As tartarugas gigantes são a estrela do lugar! Você pode ver inúmeras nas mais variadas situações possíveis e se der sorte, pode até presenciar algumas em preparo para acasalamento. É interessante contratar um taxi/caminhonete com guia para explicar as peculiaridades do lugar. Algumas estruturas geológicas também podem ser observadas neste santuário animal.Há serviço de apoio ao turista também.

Alquilamos dos bicicletas y tomamos un taxi desde Puerto Ayora hasta el Rancho. El lugar es muy tranquilo, y solo cuesta U$3 por persona. El dueño es muy amable y te cuenta un poco acerca de la historia del lugar, además te ofrece café orgánico!El rancho además cuenta con dos túneles de lava en donde se puede bajar, y hay todo tipo de tortugas, y de todos los tamaños. Hay que mantener una distancia de 2 metros para no interferir con el ecosistema.

El lugar es excelente para ver a las tortugas gigantes en su estado natural. Lllegamos en taxi, y el conductor mismo se encargó de guiarnos. te proveen de botas.

El sitioes increible.. deade a llegada la rancho se puede descubrir tortugas en el entorno. No se diga en los alrededores del edificio principal. Tortugas gigamtes por todo lado.. son hermosas

Precioso es ver a las tortugas de tierra en completa libertad, moviéndose por donde quieran en un terreno bien cuidado. Lindo también el túnel de lava.

Muy buena experiencia, observando tortugas en esta finca de la isla Santa Cruz, dedicada al cuidado y conservación de estos animales. Recomendable.

De todos los sitios que visite en la Galapagos, fue en este sitio donde mayor concentración de tortugas gigantes encontré.Hay que guardar distancia para no estresarlas.En la tienda venden ademas un cafe orgánico que es una maravilla

en la parte alta de la isla santa cruz este rancho nos da la oportunidad de conocer las hermosas galapagos en su hábitat natural algo fantastico

Las tortugas comen y se desplazan tranquilamente indiferentes a los turistas. Se ven ejemplares espectaculares. 100% recomendable.
