If you like poor rude service that is very slow and the deliver main meals for the same table 25 minutes a part, this is the restaurant for you. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant is poor which should be the first warning sign, but I did nt book it. The waitress did nt take a drinks order for 20 minutes, 40 minutes before taking an order, 1.20 minutes for two of the mains another 10 minutes of the next and 20 minutes more for the last. The food was below average for Tasmanian standards. When we complained about the wait for the mains, one main was not charged which was the cheapest one. No real apology or explanation. This restaurant is perfect for taking the mother in law you hate!!!!

My family and I ate here for lunch while waiting to board the boat back to Melbourne- convenient location. Has a great view from outside, wonderful feel about the place, neat and clean. We all loved our meals and still talk about how good they were today! Highly recommend the beef salad!! The staff were friendly, it wasn't overpriced and you just felt cozy and relaxed! Highly recommended.

Table of 20.Service was generally good, however the service of main course was slow snd staggered and we waited on 2 main courses a little longer than we hoped for. Most of the meals were acceptable, but a Couple fell short on value for money. All of the chicken roulards were over cooked. 4 out of 10 for value for moneyMenu had had some creative writing for meals that were very basic.... If it's a parmi call it a parmi. It's Devonport!Lastly we were never offered a dessert menu - disappointing for a lot of ladies who enjoy there desserts.I'm not in a hurry to return.

We had a meal at 6 pm on a monday night. There were two other tables occupied at that time The restaurant has a pleasant view over the river and the staff were responsive. The menu looked promising and we ordered two entree serves (curiously and confusingly titled 'share meals'), a side of beans and one main ( salmon pizza). One entree was duck, which was a very small serve of shredded (pulled) duck meat. The meat was served in a very sweet base which clashed with the sauce (black vinegar). The duck was served with a very large steamed dumpling. The other entree was sweet potato chips - tasted fine. The side dish was 'Szechuan beans' which was very salty, not very peppery was slightly overcooked and drowned in oil.The major disappointment was the smoked salmon pizza. The pizza was absolutely covered in cheese, which completely overpowered the very subtly flavoured salmon. The base was soggy and under baked, the rocket had been cooked with the pizza and was consequently completely soggy and the whole thing was crowned with a sweet sauce that tasted like a sweet jam.An amazing mismatch of flavours that smacked of an apprentice having a bad night and not the offerings of a chef. How a simple dish like a salmon pizza could be so badly cooked is a complete mystery to me, why the chef thought he/she could cook rocket on the pizza, under the cheese is simply astonishing...The beer was very good, however, but not even two glasses of little creatures IPA could get the taste of this seriously ordinary meal out of my mouth. Had a wonderful main and dessert meal and the presentation was outstanding on all the courses, but the best part of our night was the service, the staff in particular Harlee-rose was amazing, she had such. Enthusiasm for her job and us that it made our night. She suggested different items on menu and was so happy to serve us, which makes it an even better experience! So we will definitely go back again soon!!! Well done!!!

Since my first trip here in December I have gone back 5 times! The food here is sensational (Atlantic salmon to die for! ) I recommend sitting outside for a more scenic experience. The meals are a bit on the smaller side but because they taste so divine you won't be disappointed and may just have to get dessert! I order a side with my main and the side is enough for 2 people to share. I highly recommend dining here!
