For Railrood fans, the old historic station is a joy. Manned by volunteers there is a modest trove of artifacts, books and railroad lore. Soon to have a Spitfire monument nearby, it is a lovely reminder of when Essex was a pleasant town

We thought the station was closed but lucky, Bill said come on it. We learned the history of the station through pictures and help from Bill. He was so nice and we got to go in the caboose.
