We really enjoyed this beach, we traveled here april 2013, ...had a great time, breath taking and so cool to see the big cruse ship doc sometime!! Def a do if in jamacia, just even to relax!!

Fabulous beach,clean white sand with shade if required.lots of sun beds drinks available very close by you could put your subbed in the shallow water was a fantastic place.towells were available and I unfortunately had to visit the Dr while I was there and the physio,both were excellent.

had an excellent time at this property with my two daughters,this is my second visit previously was the renaissance.Loads to see and do,staff were great, extremely courteous ,couldn't do enough to help,food was good lots of variety something for everyone,especially enjoyed the grand hall for traditional jamaican breakfast,my daughters 20 and 18 enjoyed the daily activities,the pools,the jacuzzi,and the disco.We discovered a wonderful chartered taxi driver,who gave us a tour of the island and also return trip to reggae sunsplash,his fees were reasonable compared to others,we were safe and in good hands until our return.The driver was called dexton palmer his number was 425 5989 and his email is dextonpalmer109@yahoo.com.Can't wait for my next visit.

it's sad that Jamaica allows hotels to fence off the beach and restrict it to hotels. this strip of beach is prime real estate and the guests of the Jamaica Grande are basically restricted to it's confines.I walked a little ways beyond the hotel and went to the public beach and had a wonderful time without the guards regulating my fun. Stop the Beach Lock Downs and Let the Water Flow Jamaica Grande

O.R ....was fun! I went by myself. At first I was like I'm crazy and so did everyone else I knew. But.I ended up having fun, it was the first time. SJG have everything you need. No need to bother with currency exchange at the airport. They got a cambio on site. Food is good saves money. Good environment for family / children.......have a good time...chill out!

Very good for kids. Amazing kids club and excellent swimming pools. Location is perfect and beach is right on your doorstep. Its being closed for renovation so hopefully it would make it that edge better:)

The beach is clean and beautiful; perfect for our little ones who had a blast looking at the transparent fish that swam up close to the shore! We spent 7 gorgeous days relaxing on the white sandy beach, blue sky and amazing turquoise water.

Perfect place to relax. Plenty of sun beds, shaded areas, clean sandy beach and beautifully calm waters. Very calming and pleasant experience. I agree that the Negril beaches are perhaps more impressive but I found this beach to be enjoyable

This is just a bay really,.It is nothing special water is not that deep so it is ok for kids,If you want a nice beach try Negril Beach.

Was excited when I checked in at ja grande very crowded though (suggestion try checking in early)in the room there was no towel have to be calling front desk 3 times before i get towels. The hotel needs renovation but is very clean if you are a water person you gonna love being there water everywhere nice clean beach, waterslid, pools. The nightly entertainment is something to really look forward to very entertainment. The downside of the my vacation was how unfriendly the staff bwas expecially the ones in the dining room always have a frown and the food choice not was great , over all I made the best of my short boring vacation

This beach was so/so....nothing like the wonderful Negril beach. We enjoyed our visit but this beach was just a bay rather than the actual ocean. The water wasn't very deap before you got to the ropes the resort put out. I hear this resort is changing hands and will be a Moon Palace next year. If they remove the rocks in the front so the beach is on the ocean this could be a really nice place.

Clean beach with a lot of beach beds available and outdoor showering facilities. It is easily accessible from the Jamaica Grand hotel.

I had the best time! As did my children & my friend and her daughter. The food absolutely gorgeous, only downside is the weight you will definitely put on! The beach!! It's just a wonderful place from the variety of things to do constant music and things going on! I didn't see the kids, granted that they're old enough to go about, it was just amazing!! Definitely will return the staff are lovely n friendly too.
